Making fast progress to reopen roads!!

Updates from Nick (Thrive’s #KickGas construction and site manager):

  • HURON / CANTERBURY OPENING AHEAD OF SCHEDULE: Huron Parkway and Canterbury should reopen EARLIER than scheduled!! If all goes well next week, we could have the road open by end of the week (October 28)!

  • TEMPORARY WATER SHUTOFFS FOR SOME PLATT ROAD BUSINESSES: Water mains are being connected, so water will need to be temporarily shut off. Tentatively, Wednesday, October 26, 2022 will be the day for shutoff. If your business will be affected, the City will send you a notice directly with the hours of the shut off. In addition to City/Contractor notice, we will also post the exact day and time once Stantec and Verdeterre confirm.

  • Next week (the week of October 24), DTE will be on site helping move some utilities so that we can finish our utility work onto our site.

  • We hope to open Platt in within next two weeks or sooner: After utilities work is completed we will be working hard to finish the water lead into the site and then working on getting the roads paved so we can reopen Platt. Tentatively we think Platt will reopen within the next two weeks or possibly sooner.

  • After utilities are finished from the road we will continue our loop of water, sewer, and sanitary in Veridian!
