Hey y’all! Good news, bad news! Good is construction on Platt Road has begun. Bad news is construction on Platt Road has begun, and . . . construction sucks! We’ve worked with the City and Verdeterre to minimize disruption on Platt Road to car traffic. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’ve got any questions or just want to yell at us for adding to Ann Arbor’s construction traffic. 😀
FROM CITY OF ANN ARBOR:
Platt Road between Washtenaw Avenue and Canterbury Road and Canterbury between Hampshire Road and Platt Road: 7 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5–5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022. Verdeterre will be installing utility mains for a private development across all lanes of Platt Road. Construction will take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. during each weekday the closure is in ef​fect. The full street closure will remain in place for the duration of construction work.
Beginning at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, southbound Platt Road traffic will be detoured east on Washtenaw Avenue then south​ on South Huron Parkway, then back on to Platt Road. Northbound Platt Road traffic will be detoured north on South Huron Parkway, then west on Washtenaw Avenue, then back to Platt Road. Westbound Canterbury Road will be detoured southwest on Hampshire Road, then south on Chesterfield Drive, then east on Packard Road, then back to Platt Road.​
Emergency vehicles are advised to follow the posted detour.
